Grapat toys are hand made using natural wood and water based stain. Colours and wood grains vary as does life itself. Over time wood can wear with play. 

All our wooden toys WILL come with natural stains, streaks, and even markings that resemble burns. Rest assured that we have checked with Grimm's that these are not defects but are proof of the toy's natural origin, making each piece unique.
